As everyone probably knows by now, once again Charles Johnson has caught someone out doing dodgy graphics (he has a special talent for this – he can probably claim credit for terminating Dan Rather’s career as a newshound). One thing Iranian propagandists definitively lack is a black belt in Photoshop, as their lame attempt to insert a missile launch where none had existed before went badly wrong. Of course, there’s been a collective ROTFLMAO around the globe, especially among geeks, whose (often) undervalued skills in this area have come to the fore. In spades.

Reminds me of the Sovs in the 50s. They scared the bee-jeezus outta the Yanks ’cause they kept parading all these missiles n’ stuff thru downtown Moscow. Everyone thought they were strapped to the hilt. And then the U2 spyplane took pix of actual Sov airfields and figured out they were parading the same five missiles over and over again.
I don’t know why Iran keeps trying to build a nuke. Is there an Iranian Milo Minderbinder? He shuld go to Israel and do a deal: Look guys give me some cash and I’ll blow up our nukes. Save you the trouble.
Of course Iran will win in the fight with Israel. They have a medieval government that puts 90% of its energy into making sure no-one has any fun and they think that the Unified Field Theory can be found in the Qu’ran but Allah is on their side…
All the Israelis have are: nukes that work, one of the best militaries in the world, probably the best intelligence service in the world and people who don’t hate their own country.

I sometimes wonder what on earth these people are thinking when they pull such a stupid stunt. Do they ever really expect us to believe anything they say or do? I think it is for their people because no one on earth would ever be afraid of Iran, a-bomb or not. It is another way to pretend to their people that they can cause the world to loose some sleep. Yea, by laughing for hours and hours. Honestly, I really do not get it, however I love the aftermath artwork in Photoshop.
