Today’s earworm du jour is the very catchy “I like chinese” by Eric Idle from his Monty Python days. The population total is up a bit since it was recorded back in the 80s and half his examples are actually JAPANESE but the hypnotic effect is still as strong.
I also like chinese. In fact I quite fancy one right now.
Someone better warn the Soonster…

Very immature I know, but DEM wanted to know if it would play on the iPhone … it does. Still have no idea where they managed to hide a set of speakers, but hey.
I’ve been enjoying Monty Python ever since you put that little Spanish Inquisition snippet up yesterday in teh Thead o’ Doom, DEM.
this is my favourite Monty Python sketch
Which bits are Japanese?
Bonsai trees and zen at least… Although… I had a Han Chinese friend who said to me once (somewhat dismissively), “Most of Japanese culture is derived from Chinese culture anyway!”
Some of the calligraphy they use is also Japanese, not Chinese.
